Perthshire Pride was honestly incredible, thank you so much Perth for turning out, all 7000 of you!
Such an amazing day hosting, getting to introduce Sir Ian McKellen with the Deputy Provest, seeing all the incredible acts, judging the dog parade and for my show coming out of a coffin, setting a guitar on fire and ending on an acoustic singalong to ‘Hey Jude’??
I put everything into the show and was so nervous, but it was amazing to see so many friendly faces turn up and was exactly what I needed
❤️❤️LOVE YOU ALL❤️❤️
New Single Same Old Me
I’m really proud to be finally releasing my new single ‘Same Old Me’ on August 10th!
I really wanted to create a dramatic orchestral style project that explores mental health and the inner battles we all face.
Mental Health is a crucially important topic in the LGBTQ+ community. In the UK alone, Gay and bisexual men are four times more likely to attempt suicide across their lifetime and 84% of transgender people have thought of ending their life. I think especially during Pride Month, it’s important to speak out about these issues and what can be done to support the community.
In my own small way, I really want to help encourage people to speak out and get the help they need at their lowest points, so I’ve decided that all profits from the single will be donated to SAMH to help with the amazing work they are doing with mental health.
The Drag Queen Dean of Aberdeen
Had such a fab weekend at Grampian pride and being the Drag Queen Dean of Aberdeen for Robert Gordon’s University! Thanks so much to RGU Rainbow Network for everything!
On the 50th anniversary of the stonewall riots, it was truly fabulous for us to be asked to deliver a speech on LGBTQ+ history and how far we’ve come in Scotland. Thank you so much to everyone who braved the weather to be part of that history and it definitely didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits
The islands are the most caring, friendly and welcoming place we have been and truly see it as a home from home now. The event was carried out almost entirely protest free as well!
I would love to say a massive congratulations and thank you to the entire organising committee, who have done a fabulous job! It was amazing to meet the many people who had come back to the island especially for the event and as someone said to us; ‘I never thought in my lifetime I’d be standing here in Stornoway with a drag queen and a transwoman!’
Everyone should be proud of themselves for such an amazing pride!
